This multimedia class provides specialized instruction and allows creative freedom for young artists. A wide variety of materials, both 2-D and 3-D are offered to vary the students' experiences. Projects evolve over several weeks, demonstrating the process involved in producing treasured artworks...or customize your own group class, call for details!

Just Drawing

Just as you need to learn the alphabet before you can write a novel, drawing is the foundation of all art-making.  Students will be working from observation and imagination to hone their skills and develop their "artist's eye."  A variety of classical media will aid in our exploration of value, perspective, contour drawing and more.

 

Just Painting

Adding color to the mix is the next step. Young painters will delve into composition, color theory and brush technique, using a variety of painting material and surfaces. Students will choose subject matter that interests them and create meaningful paintings to be cherished.



Just Clay

Kids love clay! Working with clay allows for sensory development, fine motor dexterity, self expression and creative problem solving.  In the Just Clay class we will be creating fun, functional and decorative sculptures as we hone our spacial awareness, controlled dexterity, and creative problem solving skills.

 

Mommy & Me

Parent and child interact in a relaxed supportive environment.  Through this unique bonding experience each pair collaborates to produce an art piece to cherish forever.



Advanced Art

When your student is ready for the next level of instruction, this advanced class will assist in their art journey.  This multimedia class will continue to draw in techniques learned in previous classes.  We will fine-tune projects toward creating a well-rounded portfolio to be used for high school or college.  Admittance to this class requires teacher recommendation or approval.
